HHHunt in 2024: Reflecting on a Year of Growth and Success

As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on a year defined by accomplishments, growth and meaningful impact. Our team members have consistently delivered on our Brand Promises to be Employee Centered, Customer Focused, a Provider of Quality Products and Services and an Engaged Community Partner. Reflecting on the past year, our President & CEO, Buck Hunt, shared:

This has been an exceptional year for HHHunt. We not only earned prestigious awards but also successfully launched new developments, strengthened our community involvement and upheld our commitment to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service. The dedication of our team to our Vision, Mission, Brand Promises and Values has been the cornerstone of our continued success.

This past year has been filled with numerous milestones and achievements. Here are some key highlights that made 2024 an exceptional year.

Apartment Living Highlights

2024 marked a year of advancement, recognition and lasting connections for our Apartment Living team. We celebrated our dedicated staff during Team Member Appreciation Week with surprises, lunches and gifts as tokens of gratitude for their hard work. This spirit of appreciation extended to our Day of Giving^a, where teams volunteered across our regions to support local initiatives. The positive energy also reached our residents, with 26 Abberly Apartment Home Communities across six states hosting a range of engaging events each month—from social mixers to seasonal gatherings—that nurtured a strong sense of community.

While community was at the heart of our efforts, we also focused on innovation and growth. We were excited to open Abberly Commons in Charlotte, NC, expanding our portfolio with stunning new apartment homes. In keeping with modern trends, we installed EV charging stations^b in several of our communities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of resident convenience. These efforts, along with over thousands of service tickets resolved by our dedicated service team and numerous positive resident interactions from our leasing team, earned us many accolades, including one from J Turner Research^c, ranking us among the top in Division IV for online reputation. We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made, and we look forward to continuing to build dynamic, thriving communities for our residents.

HHHunt Homes Highlights

In 2024, HHHunt Homes embraced development and innovation while maintaining our commitment to quality. Our New Home Advisors (NHAs) and Online Sales Advisors (OSAs) enhanced their skills through Jeff Shore training and sales rallies. These trainings, which brought team members from Richmond, Raleigh and Suffolk together, celebrated successes and provided opportunities to refine expertise. This dedication to excellence was recognized with many awards, including six from Eliant^d, a leading customer satisfaction scoring system.

Alongside professional growth, 2024 was a year of expansion for our portfolio. We introduced our first-ever condominiums in Suffolk, VA with Reid’s Place. This community offers the brand-new Gates and Barton floor plans which feature up to three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths. In North Carolina, we entered two new areas: single-family homes in Charlotte's Ridge in Middlesex and estate homes in Chapel Hill.

Even as we grew, we remained devoted to giving back. Our team volunteered with organizations like Richmond ToolBank, Tech for Troops and Note in the Pocket, furthering our promise to be an Engaged Community Partner. As we reflect on this year, we are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to building exceptional homes in the new year.

Planned Communities Highlights

This year, HHHunt’s Communities blended expansion, forward-thinking and a focus on fostering connections. We welcomed exciting new beginnings with the launches of Kinwick and Parkside Townes, two vibrant communities in Virginia that are now open for sales. Construction also began on The Aire, a development set to redefine modern living, alongside adding a new section to the award-winning Charter Colony planned community. Even as we built for the future, we celebrated the present, earning numerous accolades throughout the year, including Wescott Condos being named Condominium Community of the Year^e.

Beyond building homes, we strengthened partnerships within the areas we serve. This year, HHHunt participated in Henrico County’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund Program^f, supporting a range of housing options to make homeownership more accessible. Our teams also volunteered with organizations like the Salvation Army Angel Tree and other local initiatives, spreading kindness and care. At the same time, homeowner events brought neighbors together, cultivating a sense of belonging and joy. 2024 was a year of milestones and meaningful moments—a year of creating communities where people truly feel at home.

Corporate Services Highlights

2024 was a year of remarkable growth and recognition for HHHunt. As we expanded into new markets, we met the growing demand for homes by launching innovative construction in Middlesex and Chapel Hill, NC, while also introducing new planned communities in Virginia. Our apartment living division also welcomed its first residents at Abberly Alston in Cary, NC, and continued construction on Abberly Royal Creek in western Raleigh, NC, near the Fuquay-Varina line. In tandem with this growth, we introduced a quick-apply feature to streamline the hiring process, allowing us to expand our team and continue delivering exceptional service to our customers.

In addition to these development milestones, we made a concerted effort to honor our team. HHHunt was recognized as one of the best adoption-friendly workplaces by the Dave Thomas Foundation^g and named one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Parents and Families by NewsWeek^h. To support our team, we continued offering a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off and more, focusing on their well-being at work and at home. We also remained committed to giving back with company-wide annual initiatives like our food drive, where we collected over 3,900 items, and our school drive, which gathered more than 4,500 school supplies. These efforts, along with our support for Hurricane Helene relief, exemplify our commitment to cultivating a culture of care and support within our organization.

Looking Forward to 2025

As we reflect on 2024's accomplishments, we take pride in the progress we've made across every facet of our business. From exciting new developments and innovative solutions to award-winning achievements and community-focused initiatives, we’ve stayed true to our Vision, Mission, Brand Promises and Values.
