Here at HHHunt, we empower our team members to improve the world and how people live. Across the southeast, we recently partnered with organizations like One Blood, Burned Children’s Fund and local schools to live out our brand promise of being an Engaged Community Partner. Check out the impact our team members made in their local communities.
We’re so proud of our teams around the southeast for participating in our Annual Back to School Supply Drive. Team members from HHHunt Homes, HHHunt Apartment Living, our Corporate Offices and Abberly Apartment Homes residents partnered to benefit the schools in their local communities. Together, we collected over 5,000 items, making it a huge success! Check out our recap video to see us living out our brand promise to be an Engaged Community Partner.
Our Abberly Pointe team partnered with One Blood and hosted a blood drive for the community. One Blood’s mission is to enhance the health and well-being of others through their work with blood and stem cell products and by facilitating scientific research. The Big Red Bus arrived on-site, and Abberly Pointe residents and team members were able to donate blood. Even a few donors from the general public stopped by to donate as part of our blood drive.
Wellness is one of our initiative focus areas for giving back to our local communities as we strive to be Engaged Community Partners. We can’t think of a better way to help others than donating blood. Every donation has the power to save up to three lives - every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a life-saving transfusion.
Abberly Pointe also collected aluminum cans that they delivered to their local fire department monthly. The fire department then is able to recycle the cans for a monetary donation to the Burned Children’s Fund. The Burned Children’s Fund’s mission is to ease the recovery process of MUSC’s pediatric burn patients and their families. Donations to the fund support South Carolina’s only referral center for pediatric burns, MUSC Children’s Hospital Pediatric Burn Center. The aluminum cans that Abberly Pointe donated this month were part of an $816 donation to Burned Children’s Fund.
Team members in our Raleigh, North Carolina Corporate Office donated office furniture to A.B. Combs Leadership Magnet Elementary School (Combs). This school is the first of its kind, which developed a groundbreaking magnet program based on leadership principles. As a whole school magnet, the theme of leadership is infused into everything they do. We love that by building cooperative relationships, nurturing responsibility, kindness and good judgment, Combs is fostering a successful community of leaders. What a great mission, Combs! The donated items from our team members will help Combs upgrade its office and room spaces. We’re so proud that we could help and give our office furniture a new purpose!
