River Mill: Spring Fling

Spring has sprung, and River Mill homeowners celebrated the start of the new season with a Spring Fling on April 30, 2022, hosted by the River Mill Homeowners’ Association. Mill Square Park was the perfect space for a spring event, and the warm, sunny weather was the icing on the cake! This park features an open-air pavilion, outdoor kitchen, hammock garden and a huge fire pit. An Active RVA Community with over nine miles of trails means walking from your home to the park is a breeze!

Homeowners enjoyed music from local DJ, Eric Lee. Attendees of all ages were singing and dancing to popular tunes. Check out Eric’s DJ services for your next event. Races were won at the obstacle course inflatable, and homeowners got to pet animals from local Flat Creek Farm! Adorable bunnies, llamas, sheep and goats were on-site providing laughter and love.

Supporting local is important to us, and what better way than to have Richmond-based Woodhead’s Grill Food Truck serving lunch? Woodhead’s Grill serves delicious burgers, sandwiches, nachos and more! A farmer’s market on wheels right in your very own backyard? That’s right. The FarmBus stopped by and provided fresh produce and local goods from Hanover County. This business connects communities in hopes of re-establishing a personal relationship with locally grown food and encouraging a local diet of fresh grown/made products here in Central Virginia. It wouldn’t be a celebration of warmer weather without a sweet treat! Jiji Custard provided homeowners with a scoop of their delicious homemade slow churned custard. They call their custard “ice cream’s super smooth cousin,” and with reason! Homeowners lined up to try this local RVA gem.
