Here at HHHunt, we empower our team members to improve the world and how people live. Across the southeast, we recently partnered with organizations like Able to Serve, UMFS, Wreaths Across America, Goochland Cares and more to live out our brand promise of being an Engaged Community Partner. Check out our team members' impact on their local communities this Holiday Season.
Abberly Solaire recently partnered with Able to Serve, whose mission is to equip adults with disabilities to be independent and connect them with opportunities to serve others in their community. Able to Serve had several classrooms set up for various tasks, and our Abberly Solaire team members rotated through the classrooms to assist participants with a craft that focused on thankfulness and the importance of gifting, exercising and stuffing backpacks for Back Pack Buddies. Abberly Solaire regularly partners with Able to Serve, and we are so proud of their continued partnership.
HHHunt Homes team in Hampton Roads, Virginia, recently partnered with UMFS (Unwavering Champions for Children, Teens, & Families) to help a family with five children in need this holiday season. The UMFS' philosophy is to do whatever it takes to help children and teens overcome tough odds to create bright futures. Our team members donated their time and money to shop for, wrap, and deliver gifts from the children's wishlist. But that's not all; family gifts were purchased too! We're so proud of HHHunt Homes and its partnership with UMFS.
Abberly Pointe has been busy volunteering in their local community this holiday season! They recently partnered with the Child Abuse Prevention Association (CAPA) of Beaufort, HELP of Beaufort and Wreaths Across America. CAPA exists to break down the destructive cycle of child abuse and neglect by equipping parents, children and their caregivers with the necessary skills, knowledge and values. Abberly Pointe hosted an Angel Wish Tree for ten children's wishes as an annual partnership. Our team members and Abberly Pointe residents participated in helping the children's wishes come true! Abberly Pointe also hosted a toy drive to benefit HELP of Beaufort, which serves residents and seniors needing assistance with at-home meals.
That's not all! Each year, Abberly Pointe sponsors veterans' wreaths through Wreaths Across America, whose mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who serve and teach the next generation the value of freedom. Our team members, residents and family members volunteered to place wreaths on the headstones of our nation's service members who are laid to rest at Beaufort National Cemetery on National Wreaths Across America Day, December 16. This event is held in more than 3,000 local communities each December. Volunteers of all ages gather to place live balsam wreaths on the headstones of our nation's heroes. They join together to say their names out loud, keeping their memories alive. We're so proud of all that Abberly Pointe is doing to be an Engaged Community Partner, especially during the holidays, to help those in need.
This holiday season, team members from the Richmond Corporate Office hosted a toy drive to support students in grades K-12 in Chesterfield County. Our team members at Abberly Market Point held a toy drive in their community as part of their partnership with Greenville Memorial Children’s Hospital this holiday season. With the help of the Abberly Market Point residents, 72 toys were collected. Our team members then delivered the toys to the hospital. While they were taking a photo with Taylor, the department’s manager, a patient’s father stopped to share his experience and shared his gratitude for the care her team provided for his son, who had just been discharged, and for the Legos they gifted him. He and his family were so touched by the thoughtfulness of the team. What a moment to witness, and we’re so proud of Abberly Market Point for making a difference in their local community.
