River Mill's 2022 Pumpkins in the Park

On October 14th, 2022, River Mill hosted their Annual Pumpkins in the Park. With the leaves changing and the weather turning cool, it was the perfect time to celebrate fall in this Glen Allen, VA, community. 

You may be wondering how Pumpkins in the Park got its name. Well, our homeowners have a pumpkin patch brought right to them by local Hanover Vegetable Farm! Everyone gets to pick their own pumpkin to take home to decorate or carve. Homeowners of all ages dressed in their Halloween costumes and entered the costume contest. 

Hosted at River Mill’s Mill Square Park, which features an open-air pavilion with a large lawn, an outdoor kitchen, a hammock garden and a huge fire pit, homeowners were able to walk or bike from their homes to the event! As an Active RVA Community, we love that River Mill homeowners can utilize the sidewalks and trails to get to the community amenities.

There was so much fun to be had at Pumpkins in the Park! DJ Eric Lee played a mix of popular throwbacks and today’s hits! Nothing is more fun than mingling with neighbors and listening to great music. We loved having Eric make our event special with his DJ services and recommend that you check out his Facebook page for your next event. Fall-themed cocktails, local beer and wine were provided by The Tipsy Grape Mobile Bar. The Tipsy Grape is owned and operated by The Grapevine Restaurant, a local hit in Richmond, VA. Homeowners also enjoyed a delicious meal from SandTopia food truck. This local food truck offered delicious burgers, wraps and seafood baskets. We love bringing in local vendors into the community for our homeowners to enjoy!
