River Mill's 2023 Pups in the Pool

Homeowners in River Mill had a splashing good time on Saturday, September 9th, 2023, at Pups in the Pool at The Connexion Pool! This annual fundraising event was hosted with the Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond. 

The Lab Rescue of Greater Richmond (LRGR) started in 2006 when a group of individuals came together with compassion for neglected and homeless Labradors. They rescue more than 100 Labradors annually and continue expanding their rescue network to surrounding states.

Anyone from the Richmond area was invited to register their dog to come out and swim with the other dogs, all while raising money to help dogs in need. Over 100 attendees joined in on the fun, and everyone had smiles on their faces. The air was filled with laughing and lots of wagging tails. Dogs tested their abilities while fetching toys or enjoyed splashing around in the cool water. Salty Paws, a dog ice cream bakery, had its food truck on-site, providing tasty treats for all the pups.

The Connexion Pool features a zero-entry area, lap pool and large sundeck, which makes it the perfect location for all the pups and their families to enjoy!
